We wanted some photos for our Zouk Website and we were lucky to meet Lana (photographer) and Oliya (make-up artist), who were looking for some photos for their portfolio. In return for this professional photo shoot, we will teach them dancing for free.

We came at 9 pm in the evening to Lana’s villa and while Oliya did the make-up for us girls, we chose the dresses and practiced the posing. Outside in the garden Lana’s assistant prepared a wall of fire for the background as well as a shower installation to let us dance in the rain.

We are three couples and it was a bit difficult to coordinate all of us during the shooting and get the positions right. The fire became really hot and even the police stopped by because of the big flames. When we did the rain pictures it was quite cold already and finally by 5 a clock in the morning we finished the shooting and were very exhausted, but also curious about the results. A camera team was with us and did a making-of documentary.
